How we check links

Why this page exists

Search pages often treat every green badge as "working in game." Our badges only describe a source-URL check. This page documents the exact steps so visitors and reviewers can see what is verified and what is not.

What we store for each hub

• Hub display name and stable card id
• Loadstring text when we have a public loader string
• Source URL (GitHub raw, Luarmor, Jnkie, or similar)
• Feature and platform tags used for filters
• sourceVerified (boolean) and sourceCheckedAt (date)
• Optional history notes — many hubs have an empty history on purpose

We do not store per-hub executor pass/fail results. The executors array on cards is empty. Names like Delta, Solara, and Xeno appear in site copy as the tools people commonly ask about, not as a tested matrix.

Link-check procedure

1. Open the stored source URL with a plain HTTP fetch.
2. If the body looks like HTML (for example a Cloudflare or key gate page) instead of Lua, mark the source unverified.
3. For stubborn hosts we may retry with normal browser headers. That still is not an in-game run.
4. If we receive a Lua or loader body, set sourceVerified to true and write the check date (example batch: 2026-09-26 for 23 of 27 hubs).
5. If we get a redirect to a protection page (example: Jnkie protected delivery) or non-Lua HTML (example: some Luarmor responses), leave sourceVerified false.

As of the last published batch, four sources stayed Link not verified: Axon and Ajjans (HTML from Luarmor on fetch), Lennon and Ovei (Jnkie redirect). Those cards are not marked Patched; we have not stored a confirmed in-game break.

Badge language

Link only

Source returned real code on the dated check. Copy and Download .txt still expose whatever string we store. This badge does not mean the remotes still work inside Steal An Egg.

Link not verified

The check did not return a usable Lua body. The loadstring on the card may still exist from an earlier capture; treat the source URL with caution.

Working (unused)

Reserved for: join Steal An Egg, inject with a named executor and version, observe a result, and record the date. No card currently meets that bar on this site.

Patched (unused)

Reserved for a confirmed break we have logged. Empty history means we have not recorded that event.

Key labels

no-key and key-required come from tags on the card. If neither tag is present, key status is unconfirmed — that is not the same as no-key. The no-key page only lists hubs tagged no-key.

Re-check cadence

We re-open sources when a visitor report, a game update rumor, or a scheduled pass flags a URL. We do not claim daily automated checks. When a date on a card changes, only the link layer was refreshed unless we publish an explicit in-game note — and we have not published those notes yet.

What this methodology is not

• Not a substitute for reading the upstream author's page
